What Google Recommends for M Dot Vs Responsive | Does Google Really Hate M Dot Sites?

First, would like to figure out some key points, which are recommended by Google, for Mobile Websites to have good performance in Search Results and to be more convenient for search crawlers and bots for indexing.

1. Google Recommendation for Mobile Web Sites:

v  Sites that use responsive design, i.e. websites with same set of URLs serving on all devices with same HTML for each URL and used only CSS for change, how page rendered on device.

v This is Google’s most recommended web design configuration.

Why it’s Highly Recommended in SEO

• Minimal CSS Code Source, as integrated by Bootstrap to handle Layouts for all kind of devices

• To provide same design and user friendly interface, but in different sizes and layout structures.

• Single URL on Multiple Devices, No Redirects required as it was required in m dot sites.

• No need to use multiple attributions, for multiple devices.

These features made responsive design more effective for all devices, to have better user interaction and easily accessible for search engines to understand how it is performing on all devices.  It does not mean that Google don’t like m dot sites. Google recommended some instructions for Dynamic and m dot websites to follow for being crawled by search engines in more effective way.

2. Sites that serve all kind of devices, mobile or desktop dynamically on the same set of URLs, but serve by user agent whether it’s desktop or mobile by separate URL and different HTML (and CSS).

• Google Recommend adding specific annotations, to help search crawlers understanding the behavior of website, on change of device or it is based upon user agent.

• If dynamic websites are using same URL, it’s preferred to have specific HTML and CSS for different devices, due to if same HTML & CSS Code structure will be deployed on website it will not provide better visibility to end users, so the website will not be considered as User Friendly.

• If website uses different HTML approach, but different URL it’s required by Google to specify each, as it’s for desktop or mobile.

3. Sites with specific desktop and mobile interface are also preferred by Google

• Specific Mobile Sites which use their own Html and Code structure are faster than responsive.

• Site Design visibility may be differ from desktop to mobile view, as they do built by different design preference.
• But this type of website needs URL redirects, which are not considered good for effective SEO practice.

As per following question “Does Google really don’t like “m” domain for mobile site and give preference to Responsive one?” which have been asked many times online, as new updates arrived by Google.

I would like to tell everyone that “Google don’t hate m dot websites, but yes he prefer responsive one, more than m dot websites.

Google revealed updates for each platform and interface, to increase performance of all kind of website in search engines or help crawlers/bots to understand each website effectively.
